OHC Of The Day: Krysten Ritter

She"Oh, I know that girl... whats she from again?" Thats the typical conversation that happens whenever Krysten Ritter is on the screen. She has been acting for the better part of a decade despite the fact that she is only 28. In 2001 she played Julia Roberts student in Mona Lisa Smile, and she was the obligatory girlfriend in 27 Dresses, What Happens In Vegas, and Shes Outta My League. Or maybe it was on the small screen... season 2 of Breaking Bad, or the flashback episode of Gossip Girl where she played Serena's crazy aunt and the network almost gave her and Brittney Snow a prequel... Either way, you will be sure to see plenty of her coming up. First she will play a band manager in Killing Bono, then in TV's Gravity with Ving Rhames, followed by BFF & Baby with Kate Bosworth & Rachel Bilson. But the most interesting project that she has been attached to is the Amy Heckerling directed vampire comedy Vamps. That one stars Heckerling muse Alicia Silverstone as Ritter's best friend in 80's NYC, and they are turned into vampires by the sexy Vampire Queen Sigourney Weaver. The buzz on that script is great, and with the Vampire trend riding high, it should be a hit. After that, she won't be Obscure any more... just a regular Hot Chick, know what I mean?

The New Porsche Panamera: Family Sports Car Status Son!!!

Back in the day, rich men used to have trade in their Porsches when they were going to have kids in order to fit baby seats in the back. Out went the sportscar status, gone until a mid life crisis would come 15-20 years down the line. Porsche tried to correct that problem with the Cayenne, a SUV that became extremely popular with the ladies more then the gents. So despite the fact that Porsche was accommodating the families, there still wasn't anything repping for the dudes... that was up until they unleashed the Porsche 970, also known as the Panamera.

How gorgeous is that??? Its a full size, four-seater, that will have plenty of room for the kiddies and still has the body and engine of daddy's old school Porsche... I'm a looking, and I'm a liking! This puppy starts at around 90k and tops out totally tricked out at around 140k... not to shabby. Take a look at some more pics, and tell us what you think about the new Panamera.

Oh Sh*t, I Hope You Guys Are Hungry.... Here Comes The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence!!!

Dutch director Tom Six is back at it again, and this time we get a dude likely to be called "Boxhead" forever as the bearer of bad news. We talked about the original The Human Centipede in one of CCDs first stories ever and wondered just what kind of mind could think up something as sick as sewing three people ass to mouth... and then we saw the movie on Video On Demand. While it is definitely one of the sickest and most disturbing movies I have ever seen, it was also remarkably well rounded and actually a very good movie (albeit pretty fucked up!!!) Dr Heiter jumped very high on the list of lunatics in the history of cinema, and after the film was over I immediately wondered if they could possibly turn a sequel out of it. Well director Six just started filming The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence, which will feature the afore mentioned "Boxhead", aka Martin, who plans on executing Dr. Heiter's evil plans to the tune of a 12 person centipede. A 12 PERSON CENTIPEDE!!!!! WTF... I honestly wonder how people who think up shit like this are not automatically placed on some FBI watch list. So, here is the question I pose to my wonderful CCDer's: Have you seen the first Human Centipede, and will you see the second, evem sicker Human Centipede 2? Please let us know in the comment section below... and if you see Tom Six on the street, crosss to the other side on general principle...

The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence - First Teaser Trailer

Hulk Smash CGI... Hulk Want MoCap Suit Now!!!

The first Incredible Hulk we ever got in real life was Lou Ferrigno painted from head to toe in green body paint with a shredded denin shirt and some capri's. The illusion was driven home by the fact that the giant Ferrigno was supposed to be puny Bill Bixby after he transformed in to the Hulk. 20 something years later we got total CGI-ed versions of The Big Green Machine in both the Ang Lee and Louis Letterier movie versions:

Well, now we know just what kind of Hulk we will get in the Avenger's movie which is coming to us in 2012... we will get Mark Ruffalo in a Motion Capture suit. That means they will film him with one of those lightbulb covered suits and then digitize his Hulkiness in later. Joss Whedon will utilize some of the Avatar-esque effects that turned out so well for James "I am the movie Jesus" Cameron. I like Ruffalo as an actor, and I am interested by this tidbit since we will get a sort of mashup between all the versions of The Hulk we have gotten already. This could really put a personality to the transformed side of the character that we have rarely seen outside of the comic book. Ferrigno might have been human, but that dude can hardly speak... and thats probably why they eliminated all emotion from his version. Lets see how it all shakes out. What do you guys think? What version of the Hulk do you want to see in Whedon's Avengers movie? Tell us in the comment section below.

Just Another Reason To Want To See Sherlock Holmes 2

One of my favorite English actors, Stephen Fry, is going to star alongside Jude Law & Robert Downey Jr. in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes 2.... how great is that!!! Now I know most of you guys are probably scratching your head and saying to your American self: "Who the fuck is Stephen Fry and why is Mike D so excited by this casting?" Since I love you guys, I will give you three answers to that question.

  1. Stephen Fry is an accomplished British actor, but you probably know him for playing Dietrich, the TV host and anti-establishment sympathizer in V for Vendetta. He was one of the best parts of a very good movie, and the part where he tries to save Natalie Portman from the goon squad that finds out he is hiding her is my favorite scene in the whole flick.

  2. He will be portraying Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's older and smarter (that's debatable) brother. He appeared in a few of the Arthur Conan Doyle stories, and the ones he did appear in were great. Dude was like a cornucopia of  information and made Sherlock frazzled at the fact that there was someone out there just as smart as him (if not smarter)

  3. The more casting news that comes out of this movie, the happier I am. Sherlock Holmes was a wonderful flick, Ritchie did it justice beyond all expectations, and the original books are some of my favorite of all times. To know that the good Doctor Watson, the living Victorian computer Sherlock Holmes, and the rest of the crew will be back for another go around is music to my ears. Fry just makes me chomp at the bit some more... now, who's going to play the villain, Professor Moriarity??? Mr. Pitt, it's time for your close-up....

OHC of the Day: Nikki Reed

Nikki Reed is the exact reason that I do the OHC (Obscure Hot Chick) feature here at CCD. She has been on the scene for awhile (she debuted in 2003), but despite her familiar face she may be hard for you to remember. She is the muse of director Catherine Hardwick, who helped the then teenage Nikki to write the screenplay for the critically acclaimed Thirteen. Reed stars as Evie, a trouble middle schooler who begins to corrupt good girl classmate Evan Rachel Wood, much to the chagrin of EVR's mom, Holly Hunter. The movie is poignant & extremely controversial, and it was based on Nikki's own wild life. She left her moms house at 14 years old, emancipated, and been independent ever since. She won the Independent Spirit Award for her performance, which put both her and Hardewick on the radar.
Her next role was in Hardewick's epic skateboarding film "The Lords of Dogtown". She also guest starred on the TV show The O.C. alongside  Cam Gigandent and Jackson Rathbone, whose performances must have been noticed by Ms. Hardewick, since she would cast all three in the teen megahit Twilight.
Hardewick got the job to direct the first installment of Twilight, and wasted little time in casting Reed as Rosalie Hale, Edwards sister and according to the books the most beautiful of all female vampires (yeah, I read the books... fuck you, they weren't that bad!). Although Rosalie's role has been small in the first three movies, her importance is about to skyrocket with the final installment, Breaking Dawn.
She also has K-11, a movie with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart and Jason Mewes (of Jay and Silent Bob fame... yes!!!) coming soon. Next up you can see Nikki in Catch .44 with Bruce Willis & Forrest Whitaker & in Chain Letter, a horror film with two of my favorite character actors of all time: Keith David & Clifton Powell!!! This one will be released just before Halloween, and since it has good buzz should be popular in theaters this spook season. So in CCD's estimation, Nikki Reed won't be obscure much longer... did I mention that Ms Reed is also kinda easy on the eyes??? Lol, enjoy the pics...

Glee's Big Gay Summer... Now Thats The Way You Start A Season!!!

Gran Apertura Vol #7- The Twilight Zone Movie

Gran Apertura means "Great Opening" in Italian. I felt it was an appropriate title for the new column I will be writing here at C-C-D. I love movies, but every once in a blue there is an opening segment in a movie that just sets the bar way to high for the rest of the flick. This opening scene is so good, it can't be topped by the rest of the movie itself. Or, sometimes the opening scene is part of an excellent film, and it does the job of getting you roped in. No matter what, the opening scene in a movie is probably THE MOST IMPORTANT scene in the whole film. So this column will highlight some of the greatest opening segments from the wide world of cinema. If you like what you see, maybe you will go ahead a check out the films in completion. Happy Viewings!!!

This week we check out Albert Brooks and Dan Aykroyd in the opening scene from The Twilight Zone movie. This is one of the all time greatest opening scenes ever, and it scared the f'n shit outta me when I was a kid. I like this clip cause it also shows the start of the first scene after the credits, the one starring Vic Morrow. Morrow died on the set of this movie due to a mechanical accident, so this movie is bizarrely eerie even in real life. All in all a solid flick, with one of the best opening scenes ever. Look how young Aykroyd and Brooks are.... wow!!! Enjoy the clip, sorry for the subtitles...

The Reason Why I Blog...

Someone asked me why I put so much time and effort into this blog, and instead of snapping off a quick answer I really thought about it. This is what I came up with: I blog because I see alot of cool shit everyday on the sites I read, and I want to share these cool things with my friends and associates. That's pretty much what it comes down to... I laugh at some of this stuff so hard, I want you to see it. These two posts are exactly what I am talking about.

First, we got this cool bar sign via Geekologie (see, credit given... feels good to receive credit, doesn't it?) that plays upon the problems of the Iphone:

Next up, we have Buzzfeed's 30 funniest signs from the protesters of the Pope's visit to London. Boy, these are great (That's what the priest said... get it, get it....ah, never mind) Anyway, here are my top 3. Click the link above to see the rest.

So, at the end of the day, this is why I blog. All these cool sites take the time to put up posts that help me smile and keep me informed everyday, and I just want to be on the same team... hope I make you guys smile a bit everyday (c'mon, a Ghostbusters/Pedophile Pope sign... that's funny, and you know it!!!) Hope you guys like whats going on here at CCD. If you do, pat us on the back and leave a comment below... please!!! Let us know you appreciate us. Thanks for stopping by....
