First up this week, we have a handful of Super Mario Bros. designs that'll make your flower fiery....
'Mushroom Guillotine' shows what happens to Toad if Super Mario doesn't make it to, yet, another castle to save him in time. I love this design!

Trick or Treat by Brandon Ragnar

This one is for you Jeff Bond. An excellent rendition of Sam and his werewolf Red Riding Hood pal from Trick 'r Treat, my new favorite movie to watch on Halloween. Great job by Brandon Ragnar.

Epic Jedi Gang Fight

This is so fucking cool. Thanks to Lock for the tip. Absolutely amazing!!! This was directed by Sam Macaroni.

Land Of The Lost by Christopher Lee

This is a wonderful Land of the Lost poster from artist Christopher Lee... it has it all: Sleestaks, Pylons, and Dinosaurs... Oh MY!!! Thanks to Planet Pulp for this one.

Saved By The Bell Meets Final Destination

In the "ummmm ok" film promotion of the day, it seems some sort of official music video has been released, that mixes up the classic 80's high school comedy, and the perennial unavoidable death series.

The little poppy song is credited to one of the movies stars, Miles Fisher, who I guess is some sort of musician in addition to his day job as some sort of actor. The video features a number of actors from the latest Final Destination movie, filling the roles of Zack, Slater and the rest of the Bayside Tigers as death stalks them. Though unfortunately there is no Tony Todd as Mr. Belding.

I haven't been keeping up with the Final Destination series, though it seems to still be doing its job and doesn't look to be skimping on the budget. That's impressive for a series with the number 5 in it.

I remember when the last one came out, which was supposed to be the LAST one, The Final Destination. I believe the same day it was released, DJ AM died after he had survived that plane crash a while before. Coincidence? Perhaps, but all I know is if I was Travis Barker I'd sure as shoelaces be watching my step this Friday.

Good Morning...Nips!

This is the kind of heartwarming story we, here at CCD, love to read about and, more importantly, see photos of...lots and lots of photos! Apparently, the always delicious, Nicki Minaj, and crazy, performed live in Central Park Friday morning as part of the Summer Concert series for 'Good Morning America'. In the heat of the moment, boobs jiggled...and were released from their containers. Love me some nip slips! I hope she and her peeps aren't apologizing to the country for the next 10 years like Janet and Justin. Go get 'em Nicki!

Sean Bean Has Trouble Staying Alive

Come to think of it...YEAH. Sean Bean does die in like everything. And not just dies, but dies in the most ridiculous and violent ways possible. Like he doesn't just get shot or stabbed, he gets shot like 10 times in a row, or he gets stabbed...and then exploded!

Here's a very thorough and surprisingly kind of emotional montage(the music really makes it) of all his grisly demise's.

WARNING - as there are characters dying here, so it should go without saying there are spoilers for over 20 different films and TV series.

Amazing right?! I think my favorite one is that bit with the cows. W..T..Fing..F?

This Supercut is courtesy of the talented  Harry Hanrahan, whose work we have featured before. You can see lots of great other work from him at his YouTube channel,  hh1edits.

The Pop Culture Art of Blake Wheeler

Artist Blake Wheeler 'bewheel' to his DeviantArt friends has been serving up some pop-culture favorites. Something for everyone, indeed. I snatched a couple of my favorites but be sure to check his page out regularly for updates (there's been a few since I started writing this post, even!)

'Quickcast & Ratcast'

Even Though It May Be Carnivale In Barbados...

... did Rhianna really think nobody would snap photos of her drunk and 3/4 naked getting a simulated butt fucking from multiple guys in the middle of a parade? Holy F'n shit. The dudes over at The Superficial have over 40 photos of the drunken debauchery that Rhi Rhi participated in (click here to see the full set). You can see my favorite 5 after the jump. God bless you Rhianna... get drunk & go wild gall!!!

Let It Pee (Wee Herman) by Dave MacDowell

This one comes via Popped Culture (welcome back Jeremy!) and is part of the Gallery 1988 'I know you are, but what am I?' tribute show to Pee Wee Herman. Great mashup with the classic Beatles 'Abbey Road' album cover. Tequila!!!!

I Can Not wait To See "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark"!!!

I am really looking forward to this film that is written and produced by Guillermo del Toro and directed by Troy Nixey. Often times you hear of films cutting out scenes to get a lower rating. The complete opposite is true here. Guillermo and the crew had aimed for this one to be rated PG-13, but didn't want to scrimp on the scariness of the film. This lead to an R rating for "pervasive scariness". Yup... sounds like they did their job a bit TOO WELL!!! I can't wait to see this one. Check after the jump for the full length trailer that shows off some of the impressive monsters/creatures from the film. Great poster as well, right? The movie is coming out August 26th.

Twenty-Something Ninja Turtles

These awesome shorts were compiled by the guys over at Big Dog Eat Child. They are hysterical. Here is the first one, click Read more below to see more after the jump. Now this is how you make an action figure parody!!!

This Guy Must Have Had The Best Comic Con Ever!!!

This guy wore this shirt to this years San Diego Comic Con, got into the Steven Spielberg panel, and got his wish. Peter Jackson snapped some pics of the shirt & the guy with Spielberg and all I can say is double wow. Not only did you get to meet your icon, but you got Peter Jackson adding shots of your awesome shirt to his Flickr account. Best Comic Con Ever!!! Thanks to Jeff Bond for the tip.

Glenn Beck Really Is A Fucktard

This is an awesome clip compiled from actual audio of Glenn Beck talking about the new half black, half Latino Spider-Man. Beck compares the appearance of Miles Morales to Barack Obama and then uses this groundbreaking character portrayal to belittle Michelle Obama for calling for change in American history. This guy is such a dickbag, and he says hateful shit like this ALL THE TIME. It fits so well with the images of the crazy J. Jonah Jameson from the old Spidey cartoons. Oh, and to the other guy who is in this clip who says "I don't know... I'm not a comic geek." I say a big fuck you. You're damn right your not a comic geek. We don't want assholes like you in our club!!! Thanks to my boy Capt. Carrot from Dad's Big Plan (cool blog... check it) for the tip!!!

This Is So Great!!!

I got this one in my email from Tommy L via his boy Frank. Thanks fellas!!!

'I'd Buy That...As a Tee!' Vol 17 by Jeff Bond

R.I.P. Bubba Smith aka Hightower From Police Academy

One of my fondest memories of growing up as an 80's baby would have to be the Police Academy movies. They were so taboo, filled with curses and sex. My parents (as well as all other adults) watched the movies after they thought we had gone to sleep, or when they thought we weren't around... but we were!!! I remember all the outrageousness, all the nudity, all the cussing... c'mon, these movies are wonderful!!! Today came the sad news that one of the films stars, former NFL star player Bubba Smith, passed away at the age of 66. Smith played officer Hightower, and his huge stature (he was like 6'6) made for some funny moments throughout the numerous films in the series. Click Read more below to see some of the best clips featuring Hightower. Rest in peace big guy!!!

The Wonderful Commissioned Artwork Of James Silvani

I came across artist James Silvani's (his blog & his tumblr) work over at Buzzfeed in an article about 'Darkwing Duck'. Silvani is drawing the new 'Darkwing Duck' comic book and since I always loved the character I figured I see what Silvani could do. Boy am I glad I did. His finished products (for the actual comics) are spectacular... but where he really shines is in the commission department. My god this guy has some wonderful ideas for mash-ups and original portrayals of the characters that all of us nerds love and adore. Click Read more below to see some of the commissions that caught my eye from his gallery. Whoever owns these puppies are some very lucky geeks. Which ones are your faves? Tell us in the comment section below!

Herge + Lovecraft = Win

Check out these wonderful mashups of Herge's Tin Tin Comic Books with the mythical figures of H.P. Lovecraft's books. The Old Ones are at it in full force, and Herge's boy detective is on the case. Check out the rest of these from artist Murry Groat after the jump.

Check Out The New Ultimate Spider Man...

The first image of the new Ultimate Spider-Man has been released and I am a very happy fellow. After killing of Peter Parker a few months back in June, teenager Miles Morales is taking over the Spidey suit. And here is the kicker: He is half black, half latino!!! Good for Marvel... I am glad to see them willing to take some chances with a multicultural superhero in such a visible title. Since the Ultimate universe is about doing things you CAN'T DO in regular continuity, why not get someone other then a white guy in there? I will be checking this one out for sure. Thanks to my boy Cal from The Cave of Cool for this tip.

The Epic Meal Time Crew Introduces You The World's Mightiest Hero: Muscle Glasses!!!

This video from the Epic Meal Time Gang was filmed at the San Diego Comic Con and features their own superhero, Muscle Glasses, challenging a plethora of cosplaying superheroes to an arm wrestling match. Lets just say the results are interesting (and hysterical!). See for yourself after the jump by clicking Read more below.

Craig Stuckless Redesigns The Batman # 400 Cover And Takes Me Back Into Time...

Way back in 1986 I was just a wee ole lad getting into the comic book collecting hobby. It was a different world back then. Kids could travel freely around their neighborhoods at a young age and play without constant adult supervision. As a 7 year old, I often hit up multiple candy stores and Optimo shops in Ozone Park, Queens that sold comics to peruse the different selection they would have. I must have purchased hundreds of issues of comics, but one always stuck out to me: Batman #400

The Dark Knight Rises by Sean Hartter

This is a great piece from friend of CCD and amazing artist Sean Hartter that has us looking forward to the summer of 2012. Hartter promised an 'Amazing Spider-Man' & 'The Avengers' one as well, completing the trifecta of superhero movies for next year. I can't wait!!!

The 'Amazing Spider-Man' Trailer Jacked A Video Game... Wow!

When I saw the recently released Amazing Spider-Man trailer, I was really blown away by the final 30 seconds of it. That is when the camera took a "Web-Eye" view of the action from Spider-Man's perspective and jumped across rooftops while swinging around town. It was awesome. But, you can't pull one over on the geek patrol... oh no you didn't!!! Seems that Marc Webb and his gang straight up jacked a cut-action sequence from the 2008 video game 'Mirror's Edge'. Don't believe me? Click the jump and see for yourself:

Salvador Dalek by Towo

Great piece of 'Doctor Who' fan art from Towo that mashes up Salvador Dali & The Daleks. Got this one from Hello, I'm The Doctor which is the best 'Doctor Who' blog on the planet!!!
