OHC of the Day (All Horror Week Edition): Alexandra Breckenridge
When I decided to pick an OHC (obscure hot chick) to be featured during All Horror Week, I tried to think of who to pick. No one better fit the profile of a sexy scream queen such as Alexandra Breckenridge. Alex plays the sexy your version of Moira the maid on FX's breakout hit TV show 'American Horror Story'. She drives the shows main male character, Dylan McDermont crazy with her skimpy outfits and sexual advances. I can't get enough of her in those garters! You may recognize Alexandra from last season of True Blood (she played one of the people in Marnie's coven) or you may recognize her voice from the hit animated show 'Familty Guy'. Either way, after the success of American Horror Story we are sure to see much more of the sexy starlet. Lets just hope she keeps the red hair and garters intact!!! Takin You Back... Way Back: All Horror Week Edition
Hi kids! I’ve come out of retirement (from my laziness and lack of motivation) to bring you a special Halloween edition of Takin’ You Back… Way Back! Before we get into today’s featured forgotten 80’s toy line, I want to talk about Halloween for a quick minute. Halloween was never my favorite holiday, but looking back it definitely holds a special place in my heart. See, I was a spoiled kid. Like real spoiled. I mean, my parents occasionally told me no, which meant there were some months I didn’t get to go to Toys R Us. Or, there would have been if I didn’t have four grandparents for whom the word “no” simply didn’t exist when it came to the wants of their first-born grandson. Click after the jump to read more...

Halloween or Williamsburg Will Have You Laughing All Day Today...
A new blog popped onto my radar over the past few days, and frankly I find it to be one of the funniest and ridiculous things I have ever seen. It is called Halloween or Williamsburg. The concept is simple. The hipster douche nuggets and other high quality human beings that make up the population of Williamsburg, Brooklyn are so preposterous that you can't tell if it is a regular day or Halloween. The site posts up random images and asks you to judge for yourself. It's catching on like wildfire, so take a few minutes and check it out. The captions are priceless... I have include my six faves after the jump. Stay golden hipsters, weirdos and psychopaths of BK!!!

It Rubs The Lotion On It's Skin...
... or else it gets the hose!!! Check out this crazy- ass video from artists The Greenkeepers called 'Lotion', Jeff Bond sent this one over and I have watched it about 12 times today. It plays off the infamous scene from 'Silence of the Lambs' in which Buffalo Bill tells the senator's daughter "Put the Lotion In The Basket". I also think it is creepy that Jeff has a dog exactly like Bill's dog. Tells you something about him, no? Click after the jump for the full video...

KMG Brings You Independent Horror... Edgar Allan Poe Style!
Greetings creatures and creeps alike! Hope you ghouls & gals have been enjoying your daily dose of horror this week here at CCD...Last year for Horror Week I did a nice little spread about my extraordinarily talented filmmaking friend Bart Mastronardi and his first independent feature known as Vindication. Not too long after, Bart announced that he would be doing a 3-part film collaboration called Tales of Poe. The series intertwines & recites visual tales of Poe's very popular stories, The Tell Tale Heart, The Cask of Amontillado, and Dreams. Just this past summer, he completed production on The Tell Tale Heart, and the film is already scheduled to premiere next weekend at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria,Queens. An Argument In Depravity Pt. 2: The Human Centipede 2 Vs. A Serbian Film
Welcome back my depraved little boys and girls. Welcome to Pt. 2 of An Argument In Depravity. If you read yesterdays first half to this column (click here if you haven't) I decided to torture myself by watching two of the sickest flicks ever committed to celluloid back to back. The Human Centipede 2 was one of the sickest things I had ever watched, but now I was in for an even bigger shock to the system: I had before me 1 hour and 43 minutes worth of uncut depravity. A Serbian Film is the stuff of legend, and that legend has been spreading like wildfire around the'Net for the past few months. I finally sat down for a movie that I have heard a ton about but have avoided all types of spoilers for. Yup, even though I had heard a lot about the movie, I had pretty much stayed spoiler free. And since you can't really make a trailer out of a movie that is basically 7/8 completely fucked up, I set forth on this path completely uninformed and naive. I'll never make that fucking mistake again!!! Click after the jump for the rest of the story...

Zombies...RUN! Good Guys Finish Last.
This past weekend on October 22nd, my friend Charles Vassallo (aka Jazz) and I particapated in the first ever Run For Your Lives race in Baltimore. What is Run For Your Lives? It's an apocalyptic 5k race with rough torrain and 12 man-made obstacles, on top of that... you have a horde of "Zombies " chasing you and trying to eat your brains. Well not real zombies of course, but a bunch of volunteers dressed in full zombie make-up and clothing. Also not really eating your brains, but the zombies try to steal your life lines (3 flags). The object of this race is to survive and get through the obstacle course alive with a life line. Just imagine, flag football and a mix of 'American Gladiators' obstacles and zombies. Oh yeah... only downfall of this race, you can't fight off the horde. So any physical contact with a zombie, you are immediately eliminated from the race.

Halloween Just got Fuzzier...And Sweatier
Every now and then it seems like the universe takes a little peak inside your brain and puts a little something together just for you. Halloween is my favorite night of the year, and anything associated with it I am a total mark for. When I heard that this little tri-fecta of pop-meta-goodness was happening I literally did a double take into the camera that I am convinced is looking at me at all times... click after the jump for more!

The Dark Tower Find It's (Not) TV Home
It's been a long arduous road for The Dark Tower's journey to the big and small screen. Pretty much from the moment Stephen King put pen to paper in the early 80's there have been rumors about a live action adaptation. Everyone from Spielberg to Cronenberg with Clint Eastwood starring, to the Lost team of JJ/Lindelof/Cuse with Viggo Mortensen in the lead has been mentioned. The latest team is the mammoth Ron Howard-Brian Grazer connection with an ambitous plan. Click after the jump for more...

An Argument of Depravity Pt. 1: The Human Centipede 2 Vs. A Serbian Film
Yesterday I decided to push my already twisted perspective on what is to terrible to watch for normal people to an all time new low, even for me. You see, lets just say that I have a history of watching/exposing others to seriously demented movies. You want examples... OK. I'm the guy who was 7 years old and renting EVERY SINGLE HORROR title in the mom & pop video shop on 110 st & Liberty Avenue because the teens who worked there would rent anything to anybody as long as there were no adults around. I'm also the guy who took his very normal girlfriend on a date to see a midnight screening of 'Cannibal Holocaust',which resulted in her crying in the car and almost breaking up with me. I'm even the guy had his 2 year old son in a highchair watching rare Fulci & Argento DVD's because I figured he wouldn't remember them (he does... and now he is a horror fanatic like I was at his age). I am a deviant when it comes to watching films. Yet when I sat down yesterday for a double feature of The Human Centipede 2 & A Serbian Film, I had no way to take into account for what was about to happen to me. Let's just say I am changed... changed forever. And not in a good way... not at all.Click after the jump to read more (spoilers & depravity ahead)...

Rob Zombie's 'Lords Of Salem' Are Coming
I've been following Rob Zombie's career for almost 20 years. I saw him for the first time live with White Zombie in 1995 and countless times since. I was always a fan of many different metal/goth/evil/satanic whatever bands, but Rob Zombie was different. His was straight up horror music, and classic horror at that. Where other bands would try to shock or gross you out, Zombie's music was more spooky and completely lined with pulp. I mean his band was named after an 1930's Bela Lugosi movie and he had a song about Grandpa Munster's car for Christs sake. Who does that? And more importantly who does that and is then able to to package it to sell to young kids? Click after the jump for more...

8/16 Bit Opening Screens by Title Screams: All Horror Week Edition
I came across this wonderful website entitled Title Screams, which is a site that celebrates the wonderful triumphs of past 8 & 16 bit video game title screens. This site has tons of screen caps, and they brought back a lot of good memories involving controllers with two buttons and no save features. I decided to revisit the site for the best of the best another day, but today I will focus on the Horror themed screen shots they had in their files. Here are a few that caught my eye. Do you remember them all? Tell us what you think in the comment section below. Click after the jump for the full gallery of home screens...

Edgar Allan Poe: A Deviant Art Retrospective
I have been, and always will be, a huge fan of writer Edgar Allan Poe. His stories are written in a very understandable tone and language, which is uncommon for authors of his time period. I like to think that it was cause he was usually being published in journals and newspapers, so he wrote for the everyman that was more likely to read his works. Plus they were spooky as shit... stuff that only a crazy person could think up. Either that, or because he was a fall down alcoholic. To be honest, I love him for all those reasons. So in honor of the true King of All Horror Writers (he is also credited with creating the whole detective fiction genre... insane, right!!!) I thought I would pop over to Deviant Art and check out some cool pieces inspired by his greatest works. Click after the jump to see some great pieces....

This Live Action 'Luigi's Mansion' Fan Video Is Amazing
Luigi's Mansion was a very fun/scary take on the other brother in the Mario clan, a dope walkthrough adventure with a horror tinge to it. Despite being quite short in length, this launch title for the GameCube system was one of my faves to play back in 2001. I caught this live action fan film of the game posted on YouTube a few weeks back and I held onto it for All Horror Week due to the fact that it was completely awesome. The effects are great and the guy playing Luigi really sells it... Check the full video out after the jump.

I Always Knew That Dog Was Pure Evil - Duck Hunt IRL
I spent countless hours spring clicking the demise of helpless mallards in Duck Hunt for the NES. A simple game, but amazingly effective. How the hell did that gun thing work anyway? Apparently it will not work on the new flat panel TV's only on the old CRT models. A reason to keep those bad boys around. I still find myself learning new things about that game. For instance did you know if you plug in a controller the 2nd player can control the bird movement? OMFGTITMATIEH!!!! Click after the jump for more...

Sean Hartter Takes On Three Horror Movie Icons... And Lives To Tell The Tale!
One of my favorite artists that I have come across since I began this blog would have to be digital artist Sean Hartter. Ever since the first time I laid eyes on his Alternate Universe Movie Posters and other amazing digital creations I was completely drawn in buy his stylized artwork. But one of the reasons I like his stuff so much is because he seems to pick subjects that are always near and dear to my heart. When I saw his recent takes on the big Hollywood horror three (Freddy, Jason and Mike) I had to share them with you for All Horror Week. I hope you like them as much as I do. 2011 Halloween TV Schedule

Halloween tends to get the shaft when it comes to TV specials when compared to the juggernaut that is Christmas. But every year our favorite hallowed holiday makes some strides and we see more and more themed programming throughout October.
I am a Halloween junkie so I will watch anything related to the holiday. No matter how lame the show is, and outside the realm of something I would normally watch. All they have to do is throw on an orange font they have got me on the line. While I love horror movies, I love them all year, so I specifically look out for shows that have a literal Halloween theme. (Click after the jump to hear more...)

The Scariest Thing Ever Shown On Canadian TV by Cal From The Cave of Cool
When I was a kid we watched a lot of programs like Hockey on the CBC. In between programs the network had access to the vast archives of short films found at the National Film Board (NFB). They replaced the commercials that the CBC didn't need to run the network. Ask any Canadian if they remember this short film and most all of them will have some horrific memory attatched. It's a freakshow and my Monday contribution to Halloween week. It don't get scarier up here than this for me. Click after the jump to see the video...
