My main man Cal from the Great White North sent me a crazy batch of pics featuring one of my favorite young actresses, Amber Heard. I have featured pics of her before (back when she was an Obscure Hot Chick) and I think she is absolutely gorgeous, so it really was a no-brainer for me to run this post immediately. I like the fact that Ms. Heard is rocking some crazy curls in these pics, a stark contrast to her usual straight hair. But let's be honest, I'm not really concerned with this beauties hair. She is a total package and deserves some love, so lets hear your comments. Thanks for the pics Cal! See the gallery after the jump...

Jesus Nazarenuz Fattens Up The Men Of Steel
I have featured Jesus Nazarenuz's fat superhero creations before here on CCD (click here to see the old post) and was pleasantly suprised to get a comment from the man himself last week. Seems Jesus got wind of us running his stuff (a few months after the fact) and he was really thankful. But the coolest thing he did was tip us off to the gallery of fat Supermen that he assembled over on his Deviant Art page (click here to see his gallery). He chronicled every actor who has held the mantle of the Man of Steel, from Kirk Alyn (star of the first Supes serials) to Henry Cavill (the upcoming Zack Snyder Superman film). they are wonderful, so you should check them out after the jump. Drop Jesus a line, and tell him the gang over at CCD sent you. Stay chubby Clark...

Amazing Spider Man #50 Gets A Drive Re-Design By Artist Nick Felvideki
The Amazing Spider Man #50 and it's cover by John Romita are legendary to all comic book geeks around the world. It is one of the most iconic covers ever. But given that everyone EXCEPT Oscar nominee voters has been completely obsessed with Ryan Gosling's portrayal of the stunt man in Drive, artist Nick Felvideki decided to incorporate this into his re-design. The results are epic. Seriously, how the fuck was Drive not nominated for Best Picture. At the very least Christina Hendricks should have been nominated for Best Juggs in an Dramatic Performance... wait, what??? Click after the jump for the original and Felvideki's re-design...

Commercially Acclaimed Vol #24 - Nike Fuel Band
TV commercials are a part of our everyday lives as TV viewers. Even though Tivo and DVR have allowed us to "skip through" the commercials, the advertising companies are still trying to peak our interests by coming up with creative commercials. To me, great commercials are an art form and are under appreciated by a society that is always trying to speed through things. Think about it... how many times did you see a great commercial that made you laugh hysterically or want to go out and purchase the advertised product??? And how many times has the best part of the Super Bowl been the commercials during a blow out game??? Whether you want to admit it or not, commercials are cool as shit... and here are some of my favorites.

What If The Walking Dead Was A 80's Sitcom?
"Show me that zombie again... don't waste a-nother minute on the dying...." LOL, I had to do that. I found this really cool mash-up video that re-cuts footage from The Walking Dead so that it comes off like an 80's sitcom, complete with the theme song from Growing Pains. It is pretty funny, so give it a whirl after the jump...

Here Is EXACTLY Why I Will Be Seeing Haywire...
Two words: Gina Carano!!! God damn, how can somebody so deadly in the ring be so frickin hot? It really does explain all those underprivileged kids in Africa or the dogs that ended up in Michael Vick's house. God can't be fair to EVERYONE if he is going to spoil an individual like Carano with good looks and killer fight skills. Here is her full photo shoot for GQ and an accompanying video to provide you with even more boners... but be careful not to let Carano see, or she will knock the ever loving shit outta you!!!

FDR: American Bad Ass - A Movie Trailer To Make You Pooh Your Pants With Joy!!!
FDR: American Badass is the kind of movie that Roger Corman and Ed Wood wishes they could have co-directed together in the Philippines back in the day. As a matter of fact, even those two schlock-meisters, as sick as they were, could never come up with something this weird. FDR fighting polio infected werewolves from his battle wheelchair, and said werewolves being led by Hitler, Mussolini and Emperor Hirohito... all set to 99 Problems by Jay-Z? Wow... just wow!!! I don't know about you guys, I will be seeing this one on the opening weekend. Please take a second and check out the full trailer after the jump. You will not be disappointed...

Today, Alamo Drafthouse Goes Ape...
Alamo Drafthouse & Mondo always bring it when they collaborate with artists to construct a new poster project.Whether the subject is old school (like the killer Gremlins posters) or new school (their Once Upon A TIme series), the artists always hit a home run for the best team in the game. Last night I got an email featuring the newest series to come out of the Texas based powerhouse, and the subject is a classic: Planet of the Apes!!!! Check out FIVE different posters that are part of the set. All five will be available as a set tomorrow (Thursday 1/26) and individually on Friday (1/27)... but the time is not released as of yet. You gotta follow Mondo on Twitter (click here) for the exact release info. If you buy all 5, you get the "Go Ape" poster from Jason Edmiston for free! Masters of the Entire Universe by Anthony Petrie
Thundercats & He Man both share a very special place in my heart. As a child of the 80's, these two cartoon/toy lines figured prominently into my daily activities. Sure, GI Joe & Transformers were very popular as well, but they couldn't hold a candle to Thundercats & He Man. Lion-O & Prince Adam are both vulnerable young men who are struggling with their calling as heroes. Skeletor & Mumm-Ra also provided excellent villains to serve as a foil to these young shining knights, doing their best to cause trouble whenever they could. Man at Arms & Panthro were the go to gadget guys, not to mention the bad ass backup. They both drove dope trucks as well. And Tela & Cheetarah could both get it... Yeah Buddy! Anyway, when I saw this beautiful poster put together by artist Anthony Petrie (click here to check out his site, its bananas) I was brought back to my bedroom at age 5, surrounded by the residents of Eternia & Third Earth. Anybody Want to Fuck Their Ipad?
Cause if you do, then you are in luck!!! If the porn industry is anything, its super creative when it comes to coming up with items for people to fuck. Seems like they have outdone themselves this time with an Ipad holster that has a Fleshlight attached to the bottom of it, allowing the Ipad user to insert themselves virtually into the waiting porn picture or moving image waiting on the screen above. I know that we have become a nation of multi-taskers, but is anything sacred anymore? Can't I just wack off to Internet porn and THEN check my email on my Ipad, or must I do it all at once? James Bond Don't Give A Fuck... Cause He Is James Bond, Bitch!
Is there a character in books/movies/comics world that embodies the "I just don't give a fuck" attitude more then James Bond? This guy truly doesn't care about anything, unless it comes in a stem glass or has a pair of tits. He has constantly rebuked his own commanding officers, destroyed hundreds of cities across the globe with impunity, killed people by the dozens in each film, and banged any broad with two legs and a ridiculous name in EVERY single incarnation we see him. Surprising Dutch! by Benjamin Carre
Every once in a blue an artist finds a very exciting way to mash up two properties in a way that is awesome and makes you wonder how come you never thought of that. Enter artist Benjamin Carre. He decided that if the Predator couldn't get a shot at killing Arnold as his character Dutch from the film, maybe he could catch Arnold slipping in another role.... in this case a T-800. How cool would it be if old Dread Head tracked down John Matrix, Conan, Ben Rodgers, Julius, Quaid/Hauser and Det. John Kimble and repeatedly ripped out their spines? More Hot Pics Of Scarlett Johansson From A Fashion Shoot I Don't Care About It
I don't make excuses for the fact that I like to look at pictures of hot celebrities and I do not really care what the source of these photos are. I love the Internet for allowing me to see sexy pictures of celebs like Scarlett Johansson or Olivia Munn despite the fact that I have absolutely NO INTENTION of buying the fashion magazine or clothing that is being hawked in the shoot. Not only do I peruse these pics, but then I re-post said pics so that I can share them with my fellow CCDers. Really, how many of you guys want to see 10 sexy pics of Scar Jo? Community Gets A Superhero Makeover That Goes From Gotham To The Danger Room
This is really sad. I am probably one of the very few people left in my circle of friends who does not watch Community. I have seen episodes of the show, but I never watched it consistently. I know... I deserve to be punished. Anyway, given the fact that Community is currently hanging on for dear life (which makes no sense, because I heard NOTHING but GREAT things about this show) it seems multiple people are using the cast as fodder for fan art. Today we have two different "Team" shots of the gang, and both are wonderful. First we get a DC Comics take on the Greenvale Gang by Kinjamin in the style of the Bat Family & Batman's Rouge Gallery. Next, we take a trip to Westchester and get a X-Men styled portrait from artist Aviv Or. Gotta love these renderings, especially Ken Jeong as Nightcrawler. Check all three out after the jump...

'Unlimited Power': A Infomercial From A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Fan films are really interesting to watch... sometimes they are horrible, sometimes they put our favorite characters into some awkward spots, and sometimes they are simply fantastic. Every year Lucas Arts sponsors a contest and declares a winner at the San Diego Comic Con. This past year's (2011) winner was Eliot Sirota for his entry entitled 'Unlimited Power'. While Eliot won the award over 6 months ago, the full embedded version only recently appeared online. Sirota chose to skirt regular conventions and construct an infomercial about a Jawa droid trading shop. I think it is great, and any fan of Wall-E will definitely love it. If you like Star Wars, this is a fun change of pace. It's only 1 minute long, so take a moment and enjoy it today. The full video is available after the jump...

Michelle Williams Brings A Bit Of Marilyn To GQ
Michelle Williams has really come a long way from her days co satrring with The Dawson and Pacey over on the WB. She has made some phenomenal films over the past few years that have garnered both critical and commercial success. She also was thrust into the spotlight when her husband and baby daddy Heath ledger past away due to a drug overdose. Yet she has handled herself like a true woman and classy celebrity, and those types of qualities are few and far between in Hollywood today. In anticipation of her upcoming (possibly Oscar bait) movie "My Week with Marilyn" GQ Magazine sat down with the lovely Williams and made her the cover girl for February 2012. Welcome Back Wes Anderson!!!
My guy is back! I have been a huge fan of Wes Anderson's films ever since I rented Bottle Rocket on VHS (Yup, its been a long, long time!) and I have never been so excited for one of his films. He is back with Moonrise Kingdom, and this one looks wonderful. You got the usual Anderson film suspects present with Owen Wilson, Fran McDormand, Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman appearing. But this time we get wonderful additions like Bruce Willis, Ed Norton, Tilda Swinton and a cast of kiddies that seem like they are holding their own against the Hollywood elite. I for one will be lining up at my local hipster arthouse cinema to purchase a double chai soy latte and watch this film... how about you? See the trailer after the jump...

Lost Animated "John Carter of Mars" Footage From The 1930's Is Blowing My Mind Right Now....
Ya gotta love Youtube and the rest of the magic that the 'Net brings to our fingertips. Just yesterday I wrote a post about the upcoming John Carter film from Disney and how I have high hopes for the franchise. But I couldn't help but wonder how a book series that has been around for almost 100 years and has a very famous author (Edgar Rice Burroughs also created Tarzan) has taken so long to formally hit the big screen. So I did a bit of wiki research and found out that legendary Looney Toons director Bob Clampett wanted to do an animated version of the Burroughs series because both he and the author felt that a real life version would have been just to expensive and not actually possible to pull off.

I can not possibly be more excited for a movie than Disney's John Carter. Ever since I read the books about four years ago I have yearned for this story to make it to the big screen. I have said in the past, and I will say it again, that I think John Carter has the potential to be my son's generations (he is 8 years old, about to be 9) Star Wars. My thought process is that Disney will not skimp and truly bring the world of Barsoom (Mars) to life in a way that we have never seen before. The creatures, the aliens, the fighting, the chicks... good god, this is gonna be great! It has the potential to be an epic spectacle, and with the possible sequels it could be to the youngsters of today what Star Wars was to us children of the 70's/80's and Harry Potter was to children of the 2000's. Lets hope they don't fuck it up. The movie comes out on March 9th. View the full size International movie poster after the jump...

: A Classic Coin-Op Mash-up Masterpiece: Contra Vs Paperboy
God, sometimes I wish I was a talented graphic artist/video programmer/editor. I have so many great ideas to make creative things, but I have no ability to actual realize them (meh meh!). Thankfully, there are hugely talented like DaneBoe who like geeky shit and could bring these awesome things to life. Check out his mash-up of two of my all time favorite arcade/NES classic games, Paperboy & Contra. If this doesn't take you back to 1988, I don't know what will. Click after the jump for the video...

Dr. Mariolove Or: How To Stop Worrying & Learn To Love The Bomb-omb by Alvaro Arteaga
When an artist wants to create a piece featuring an iconic video game character, they need to find a way to do it that is witty and hasn't been done before. Enter Alvaro Arteaga and his spin on every bodies favorite turtle crushing plumber from Brooklyn. Alvaro decided to put Mario on the top of a bullet bomb in the style of the famous scene from the Stanley Kubrick classic Dr. Strangelove, made famous by the one and only Slim Pickens. Well played sir, well played. See the full piece after the jump...

Retro Battlestar Gallatica TV Guide Ads by Frank Franzetta
Frank Frazetta is one of my all time favorite artists. His paintings illustrated many a movie poster and book cover throughout the 60's, 70's & 80's. Even though I am a great admire of his work, I have never seen the black & white advertisements he did for TV Guide back in 1978 featuring the Battlestar Gallatica cast. Wow... just wow. I am loving this right now. You gotta get over to The Retroist and check out all the cool shit they are posting. These guys take it back... way back. Cool Video: Movie Titles In The Movies
Sometimes movie titles just make sense. They click right away with the action that takes place within the movie and the titles make perfect sense. Think Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Pretty much flows, right? But every once in a while screenwriters think you may be too dumb to understand exactly what the title of a movie means. Either that, or these screenwriters just get lazy and plug the title into the script. One way or another, here are a few examples of the actual title being used in the dialogue of the movie. In some cases it certainly does help out. Check out the clip after the jump....
