It's about fucking time!!! After about seventy five different cuts of the trailer, tons of international trailers, fan made trailers, and other types of video clips... we FINALLY get a chance to see the full Avengers squad ACTUALLY FIGHTING in the new trailer just released today. Yup, the whole crew. We get to see a transformed Hulk wrecking shit and doing his best Willie Mays impression (you will get the analogy after you watch the trailer), Hawkeye being athletic and shooting his bow, and Iron Man/Cap/Thor kicking each others asses in typical in-fighting fashion that has always taken place in the pages of the Avengers. My only question is what the fuck is Black Widow going to do with a snub nose 9 millimeter handgun against intergalactic enemies? Maybe Scar Jo just plans to smother the invaders in her ample boobage.... now that would have made the trailer complete, no? Click after the jump to see the newest trailer...

Inspector Gadget VHS Box Art by Sean Hartter
I hate to keep jerking on Sean Hartter's nutsack, but my man keeps putting out quality re-imaginings and mash-ups daily and he deserves to be recognized. The kid just has an amazing eye for details and always finds very creative ways to portray classic properties that all of us nerds love. Today he features a mecha suit version of Inspector Gadget that is super cool, and it even features the DIC tagline of the company responsible for bringing the good old Inspector to our afternoon cartoon programming. It's the little things that make his pieces great. Click after the jump to see the full pic...

Blood Car: Bringing Grindhouse Movies Into The 21st Century!!!
Blood Car. Wow. What a genius idea! I sure am glad that we live in an era when Grindhouse-style films are back en vogue to make. Listen, here is the truth... films like this are fun, they have lots of tits & blood/gore, and really do not rely on a feasible story to be enjoyable. Plus it has a self explanatory title that seems to be close to what the story seems to actually be about. That's what made them great in the past, and that is what is making them popular again now. 'Blood Car' is continuing down the path that was blazed by the Taratino/Rodriguez Grindhouse double feature, 'Machete', 'Rubber' and Hobo With A Shotgun'... and it is doing it in a way that seems quite fun to be a part of. Just check out the trailer after the jump and tell me that you are not even a tiny bit interested...

What Does This New Poster Say About The Upcoming Season Of Mad Men?
I'm not real sure, but I know just how smart the writers can be on this show... and given that the show is about the advertising industry, I do not think that there is absolutely nothing connected to this naked mannequin. What do you guys think? Check out the full poster after the jump and leave some comments as to what you think it all means...

God I Miss Me Some Patrick Swayze!!!
Red Letter Media is known for their epic critiques of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Those were kind of funny, but the time has come for them to move on to some bigger and better things. One of these things they have jumped into is the development of supercut videos, where they take "All the..." of something in a particular movie and edit it together into a one minute clip. Today you are going to be treated to "All the punches in the face that take place in Roadhouse". Yup, I just typed that. God I miss Patrick Swayze. Who else could rock a mullet and tight ass pants like that and still kick major ass? R.I.P. you heavenly angel of a man. Click after the jump to see the video...

Mega Morphs by Lou Kang
Check out this very cool concept entitled Mega Morphs, which are basically giant robot versions of your favorite Marvel heroes. Think giant Transformers with the powers/weapons of Wolverine, Spider-man, Ghost Rider, and others. The artwork is done by artist Lou Kang. This would be so fucking cool. It reminds me of the robot versions of the Avengers from the Marvel animated feature Young Avengers. Lets hope they find a way to get this done. It could be really cool. The Oscars Sucked Balls... But Sacha Baron Cohen Gets The Last Laugh!!!
The Oscars were soooo boring last night that I actually fell asleep... and I do not mean that figuratively! I literally passed out a bit after Octavia Spencer won her Best supporting Actress award and woke up right before The Artist won Best Picture. For those of you keeping score, that means the Oscar broadcast put me in a coma for approximetly 2 hours. I am no expert, but I DO NOT think that the goal of the show is to induce sleep in it's viewers... but I digress. The show is a mess, and even though I swore I wouldn't watch it I was right there up until I passed out. For a movie lover like me, this is disheartening. Someone like me should be looking forward to the Oscars, but with the slights of epic movies/acting performances (Drive, Bridesmaids, The Muppets, Tin Tin, Harry Potter VII and Ryan Gosling all caught multiple hoses in the nomination process) and the lame ass actual show I am no longer anticipating the show anymore. But leave it to Sacha Baron Cohen to semi save the night and make it something more than a total loss. Click after the jump for what Cohen did on the Red Carpet that most people didn't even see...

Stephen King Reads From 'Dr. Sleep', His Sequel To 'The Shining'... I Promptly Faint & Bash My Head On My Coffee Table!!!
The Shining is without a doubt Stephen king's most famous work. That is not belittling his other works... this guy has sold more books than Jesus himself. But due to the fact that Stanley Kubrick decided to adapt the novel for a movie (albeit by changing tons of shit from King's original novel and Jack Nicholson's famous "Here's Johnny!!!" axe wielding portrayal of Jack Torrance) and it became wildly popular, it has always been regarded as the touchstone of King's literary works. Last year King announced a new book, entitled 'Dr. Sleep', which is a legitimate sequel to The Shining. I almost fainted at the thought of the return of Danny Torrance... where would King take this character with the psychic ability to "Shine"? Well, King is starting to do public readings from the novel in preparation of it's release (no official release date as of yet, but I'm assuming its somewhere near the end of 2012-beginning of 2013) and somebody cell phone cam-ed him reading the first chapter of the book. I almost fainted... This one sounds great!!! Catch the clip & book synopsis after the jump and tell me what you think about this upcoming sequel project.....

I Can't Wait...
Mad Men Season 5 is right around the corner, coming to your TV on March 25th. This is very late for the AMC hit show, which usually airs around the summertime. Considering that this is the first season I will be watching in real time (I caught up on seasons 1-4 via Netflix Instant), I am starting to get antsy. In order to sedate the public's needs of everything Draper & Co, AMC has released little teaser clips for all the key returning characters of the show. Even though I can't wait to see all of them together, these 30 second teasers are certainly getting the juices flowing. Especially the ice queen January Jones & her fiery redheaded counterpart Christina Hendricks... my god I miss Betty & Joan!!! Check after the jump for the individual clips, and tune in for the season 5 premiere on March 25th...

Mashups come and go, but having that certain "wow" factor is what differentiates the great ones from the average. James Hance is certainly taking his artwork towards the great side of the aisle. OHC Of The Day: Michaela McManus
It's backkkkkkkk!!!! OHC is back on CCD!!!! For those of you guys that don't know, OHC stands for Obscure Hot Chick. This is where we highlight the hottest up & coming actresses who you may have seen somewhere before but are about to become very recognizable. due to new projects they have coming out. Today we are highlighting the lovely Michaela McManus!!!
McManus got her start in acting a few years back on One Tree Hill where she played the new girlfriend of lead character Chad Michael Murray. It always seemed as if the casting directors of One Tree Hill always found hotter and hotter actresses to add to the already smoking cast of the show, and with Michaela they really hit the jackpot. The season long stretch on the show helped her parlay a few parts on CSI:NY & Law & Order SVU, as well as shows like Castle, The Vampire Diaries, and Hawaii 5-0. But now she is poised for her breakout year, as she is currently starring in the much lauded 'Awake' on NBC with Jason Isaac, and she has two movies on deck (About 50 & Funeral Kings) the latter of which is getting major buzz heading into South by southwest this year. Click after the jump for some lovely photos of Michaela, and remember who told you about her first...

Seeds Of Arkham Is An Amazing Batman Fan Film.... Watch It Here Now!!!
Back in July of 2010 I told all of you faithful CCDers about a very cool Batman fan film entitled 'City of Scars' that was absolutely fucking amazing (click here to see that post). It was just so well done that it was tough to ignore and well worth the 30 minutes needed to watch it. Shit, I would go so far as to say that it is better than some of the real Batman movies that have been released over the years (yeah, I'm looking at you Clooney!!!). A few months back my boy Lockheed Lee sent me a link to the sequel fan film entitled Seeds of Arkham from the team over at Bat In The Sun productions, and it just slipped through the cracks & I never re-posted it. Well, I am about to correct that wrong right now.... after the jump you can find the full version of Seeds of Arkham (a much more manageable 9 minutes long). hopefully these guys get into some real Bat filmmaking in the future, cause I really love their take on the gang from Gotham. Enjoy!

Mr. Whaite Knows Exactly What I Want To See In A New 3 Stooges Movie...
... and it is certainly not the piss poor cast that the Farrelly brothers have pieced together for there redux of the violent classic. Unless of course the brothers are going to have them all going ass to mouth like Mr. Whaite has portrayed them here... then and only then will THAT cast appeal to me. Oh, and just for the record, if I had to be attached to anyone's ass surgically, it would most definitely be Kate Upton in her nun bathing suit from the 3 Stooges trailer.... now that is an ass I wouldn't mind feeding from!!! Mondo Lends John Carter A Bit Of Credibility, And They Do It In True Cool Poster Fashion
March 9th. What a great day. Not only will I be celebrating the life of the greatest rapper of all time who died way to soon (R.I.P. Biggie!), but I will finally get to see Edgar Rice Burrough's classic Barsoom series on the big screen!!! Given that this is the characters 100 year anniversary and that these stories featuring John Carter are the building blocks for movies like Star Wars, Alien, and Avatar... Well, quite frankly ITS ABOUT TIME!!! In order to commemorate the event Mondo has teamed up with artist JC Richards to produce a poster for the event, but unlike most Mondo prints this one will not be on sale in a quick run... it will be GIVEN away at select IMAX screenings of the film. This poster is just stunning, and it really captures the vastness of the Barsoom world that I am hoping to see in Andrew Stanton's film. Now I am really in. See you guys on line March 8th at around 11 Pm.... click after the jump to see the poster.

The Cover For Deadpool #54 Takes A Turn Towards Ryan Reynolds...
I have always loved the playful style of the Deadpool character and how the guys who are writing his book play that up. But rarely have I ever been as amused by a book that I am not currently reading by something as simple as a cover shot. In this month's issue (#54) features The Merc With A Mouth buried in a coffin under ground alive, a la Ryan Reynolds in Buried. So fucking cool, considering Reynolds has played the character in the past & will probably portray him someday on the big screen. Click after the jump to see the full cover...

I Don't Know What To Make Of 'The Devil's Carnival', But It Looks Just Crazy Enough To Get My Vote
I am personally a huge fan of Darren Lynn Bousman. I don't know what exactly it is that makes me love him, yet I am always eager to see what he is doing next. He turned the Saw franchise into a run away success after take it over in installments II-IV, and then he took a hard left turn a came out with Repo! The Genetic Opera... and that is usually where the debate starts. Some people (like myself) love the experimental style of Repo, while others are confused by the crazy plot/musical numbers and hate the film. Either way, Bousman shows he likes to take chances. He also re-made a classic Troma flick (Mother's Day) that has yet to be released despite garnering positive reviews & had a minor box office hit early this year with 11-11-11 (insane flick). He is right on the cusp of breaking through... and it looks like his next project is NOT going to help him do that! Click after the jump to hear more about 'The Devil's Carnival'...

Sean Hartter & Hero Complex Design Posters For What A Batman Film May Have Looked Like Under The Direction Of Someone Else...
Sean Hartter teamed up with the gang over at Hero Complex (specifically writer Geoff Boucher) to come up with some faux film posters for Batman films done by different all star directors. Each one of these is better than the next, and some of them are just off the wall... but honestly, Sean takes alot of time to come up with all the little details of the film to sell the total poster's idea. I couldn't decide on just one that I liked, so I picked my favorite 7 out of the 15 that were designed. But here is the coolest part: If you click here, you can vote for the one that you like the best over at the Hero Complex website!!! 'The Snowtown Murders' Looks Batshit Insane... And Absolutely Brilliant!!!
God, the Australians truly make some insane flicks!!! After seeing Animal Kingdom (if you haven't seen this flick, get to it!) and the documentary "Not Quite Hollywood" (about the exploitation film industry in Australia during the 1950s-80s... a must see!) I have been ODing on Aussie films. I even went back to the classics like The Road Warrior to re-live my Australian film watching past. But this new film "The Snowtown Murders" looks absolutely insane. The film is based on actual events that occurred back in 1999, and it seems pretty intense. It opens up at the end of March, so keep your eyes posted for theaters showing it in your area. Click after the jump for the trailer and synopsis for this one... Viva Australia!!!!

Masters Of The Universe Gets An 8 Bit Makeover by Sound of Design
More and more people are doing 8 bit versions of our favorite comic book and cartoon characters, but not everybody is doing a great job on capturing the details in the simplicity that is 8 bit art. One artist, Sound of Design (aka Ty Lettau), are doing it... and doing it well (LL voice!!!) There are tons of prints for sale in their Society 6 page, but the ones that I like the best were the Masters of the Universe pieces. A Judge Dredd Children Cartoon... Wait, What????
My undying love for Judge Dredd will hopefully get a big pay off at the end of this year when we finally get a cinematic version of the futuristic lawman that is true to the comics in the form of bad ass Karl Urban and the new Judge Dredd movie. Now before you jump on my back and tell me about Sylvester Stallone's portrayal of Dredd (for the record, I like the movie... but it STRAYS immensely from the source material), I am going to show you something that will make Sly's version look even MORE faithful to the gritty comic. Recently an 1970's era episode of the British children's show Bod was uncovered, and it featured Mega City's meanest lawman facing off against the Angel Gang & the Dark Judges. Now despite the fact that in the comics this situation would definitively get bloody, Dredd handles the situation a bit more... kid friendly. Scott Pilgrim & Ramona As Link & Zelda by Bryan Lee O'Malley
There is no denying how great Bryan Lee O'malley's Scott Pilgrim books are. I for one have been a huge fan ever since the first time I opened a page in those little black & white graphic novels. To me it has always been the distinctive style of art that O'Malley has put forward with the series that makes it so special. So somebody posted a sketch done by O'Malley back at Hero Con 2008 that depicted Scott & Ramona as Link and Zelda, and boy does this look great. Check after the jump for the full size pic...

Remember That Time That Tommy Lombardozzi Designed Character Cut Outs For The Fantastic Four Movie Premiere?
I have a friend that works as a producer at MTV. Back in the Spring of 2005, when I was pretty new at doing freelance illustration, he had asked me if I wanted to do drawings of the Fantastic Four that would adorn the set of their upcoming Fantastic Four movie premiere special. Of course I said yes!
The idea was that my drawings would be blown up, life-sized, and then made into big placards that would accompany the actors playing the specific parts. I was excited because I was going to be able to go to the filming of the show and meet "The Commish" himself, Michael Chiklis! (I was also a fan of his because he played Belushi in the not-very-good adaptation of Bob Woodward's Belushi biography, 'Wired'. I didn't like the movie, but I thought Chiklis did a great job.) Plus, I'd get to meet that sweet piece, Jessica Alba. MING!

This is so vibrant and full of color and the tie in is so apparent, so in my eyes this is a perfectly executed mash-up. Click here to see more of Jared's work and click here to also buy a button set of the Oni's featured above by clicking here. You can see the full size image after the jump...

A Very Muppet Wicker Man
You would be hard pressed to find any horror fan, especially one with a love of 70's horror, that has a bad thing to say about The Wicker Man. It is one of Christopher Lee's finest performances and an insane movie that I feel is a must see for any true horror fan.On the other hand, plenty of people have said negative things about Nic Cage's remake... and almost all the time they are negative things. I for one am not one of those people. I love the new flick. More then anything. Not because it is better than the original... quite the contrary. It pales in comparison to the original. But it is unique in it's own corniness, and I would watch Nic Cage peel potatoes. Especially if he peeled said potatoes while kicking random women in the stomach. But these two movies are nothing compared to the epic mash-up put together by Paul O'Connell. He removed Lee, Cage and all the other humans and inserted the one thing that makes any film better... Muppets!!!

Maria Menounos Never Renegs On A Bet... And That Is Why We Love Her So Much!!!
Just when I thought things couldn't get any better in relation to my NY Giants winning the Super Bowl, this comes along and makes me smile even more!!! Seems like Maria Menounos, the sexy correspondent from Extra, enetered into a little bet with her co-host AJ. If the Patriots would have won, AJ was going to sport a Patriots cheerleader outfit. But if the Giants won... well, we get to see Maria in a Red & Blue bikini. I guess God is a Giants fan, huh? Instead of a brolic 6'0 black dude in a cheerleader skirt, we get the lovely M&M in a slinky G-Mne bikini and Uggs. This makes the victory even sweeter. Shit, even AC Slater had to get in on the act and come up to rub on Menounos. He wasn't seeing bodies like that at the Maxx, no what I mean!!! Click after the jump for the full gallery...

Exoprine Presents: Car Cushion
You ever wonder why every time someone gets thrown out of a window in a movie or on TV there always seems to be a car strategically placed to catch them... albeit, not always gently!!! The gang over at Exophrine wondered the same thing, so they came up with a serious video chronicling the history of the car fall. This one will bring back memories, that's for sure. Can you name all the clips used? try to do it in the comment section below.

The Next League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Comic Will Feature Jules Verne & H.P. Lovecraft... And I Just Fainted!!!
I may not agree with Alan Moore and all the belly aching he does about people using his characters, but I certainely do like Moore's work.... especially The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I am a huge fan of Moore's literary mash-ups, and I can't wait for the upcoming one shot Nemo: Heart of Ice. The tale will obviously focus on Captain Nemo, but apparently the ride will take him to Antarctica where he will no doubt be At The Mountains Of Madness from H.P. Lovecraft's classic tales. He will also have Jules Verne along for the ride, and I am sure Moore has some other tricks up his sleeve as well. I always found it kinda funny that Moore is so adamant about DC Comics & others corrupting his characters when they use them without Moore's involvement, yet he has no problem stealing all of the great literary characters & settings he likes for his League of Extraordinary Gentlemen stories himself (aside from the core characters of the League who are all major literary characters of the past, Moore has also incorporated John Carter, Lewis Carroll, War of the Worlds, The Avengers (UK version), James Bond, and tons of other shit from other authors works). The books is due by the end of 2012. You can see the original article and more of Allan Moore's hypocritical rantings on the subject of stealing characters by clicking here & here.

Now This Is Who Should Play The Sandman In A Live Action Adaption Of the Neil Gaiman Classic Series...
And who you ask? None other than the BBC's Sherlock Holmes himself, Benedict Cumberbatch!!! Wow, I couldn't agree with this more. First off, I always imagined the character as an English type. I don't know why, but I always seemed to imagine Morpheus talking with a certain cockney accent. It seems my brother from the Great White North Cal felt the same way, as he is the one who posted this this awesome piece. My only regret is that I do not know know who created this image, so I can't give them proper credit. Click after the jump for the full piece...

Ok Go & Chevy Team Up To Produce One Of The Most original Music Videos Ever!!!
The guys from OK Go made their careers on gimicky videos that highlight tons of physical stunts and are super fucking cool to watch. I will never forget seeing their "Here It Goes Again" video for the fist time and watching it with my mouth open wondering how the fuck these guys weren't cracking their heads open. You may not like their music, but to say they don't make innovative videos is just crazy. Now the guys have teamed up with Chevy to use their new compact car the Sonic to play their instruments for the new song "Needing/Getting". yeah, I said that right. They use a car to play the instruments. Are these guys fucking serious? Click after the jump and see the synopsis of the video, the video itself, and a making of featurette of this insane musical arrangement...

Is The Incredibles 2 On The Horizon??? Well... Not Exactly!!!
Wow... wow. In this era of sequels and franchises dominating the movie industry, how is it possible that we do not have an Incredibles 2 movie as of yet? This doesn't really make sense when you think of the fact that there is a Cars 2 and a bunch of those Chiuaua movies, yet no movement on the Pixar classic superhero story? Why lord, why!!! Anyway, an artist from The Netherlands (Edwin Rhemrev) has decided to put an end to this travesty himself. He has designed a shit ton of concept art for a proposed sequel, and it is spreading around the 'Net like wild fire. If you are a fan of The Incredibles , you need to continue after the jump to have your mind blown...

Lindsay Lohan May Be Trashy, But Wow Do I Love Her Boobs!!!
Lindsay Lohan is probably in the midst of the most public unraveling of a celebrity in the history of pop culture. No one has fallen so far so fast in the public eye... and I can't stop watching!!! One thing that has remained in tact over the course of her drunken, drug addled lifestyle are her spectacular tits. These things are wonderous. They were the only interesting part of the Playboy spread she did a few months back, and they continue to play way more important roles than Lindsay in any recent pics she takes. If you need more proof, take a look at this impromptu photo shoot that broke out at the Chateau Marmont with celebrity photographer Terry Richardson. There are like 20 pics (you can see the full gallery here), or you can just continue after the jump for the highlights.... which include the best shots of Lindsay's luscious boobs. She may be a crack head, but she does keep her boob game tight....

The Death & Return Of Superman: A Short Film by Max Landis
Check out this very cool short film, The Death & Return of Superman by Max Landis. If the name sounds familiar, that is because Max is the son of famous film director John Landis. He is also a now successful screenwriter, ever since his newest script 'Chronicle' opened up at #1 in the box office this week. Anywho, here is Max's riff on the whole "Death of Superman" debacle by DC Comics, and its quite funny. He even has pals like Elijah Wood, Simon Pegg, and Ron Howard along for the ride. This is quite funny. Check it out after the jump...

Recreating Classical Paintings Through Geek Interpetations
On my travels around the 'Net yesterday I came across an awesome Norman Rockwell inspired Spiderman/Green Goblin painting that blew my mind. Upon further review I found a plethora of these geek recreations over at the Tor.com blog, and each one was more and more innovative than the next. After the jump you can see some of my faves, along with their original counterparts. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did...

Panem Comes To Life: A Topographical Map Of The Lands Of The Hunger Games
I am one of the legion of Suzanne Collins fans who is eagerly anticipating the March release of the first hunger Games movie. Jennifer Lawrence is looking epic as Katniss and the movie is seeming to shape up quite nice. one of the key elements that the trailers seem to highlight would have to be the look and feel of the 13 Districts of Panem, or the country where the three books are set. while Suzanne Collins never outright declares where the stories take place, she does hint at the North American locations and certain aspects that make each District unique. V. Arrow and her contributor BadGuys are the official creators of Smart Pops The Panem Companion: The Unofficial Guide To Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games, and they came up with a topographical map to help illustrate where our story takes place in relation to the world we know. As a fan of the series, this is a really cool little project... and this is the sort of obssessing that I am glad someone else is doing because I do not really have the time anymore! Now I can just buy the book and read all these crazy tidbits myself. Click here to see the page they set up for the book and click after the jump for a full sized version of the map...
