Batman is long been the key characters that seem to fall into Fan Films. I don't know exactly why this is, but boy am I glad that people keep putting Mr. Wayne into these cool ass features. Take 'The Kill' from Super Groups Productions for example... no Joker or Penguin here. This one features some hard hitting villains like Mr.Zsaz, Black Mask, Hugo Strange, and the Scarecrow plaguing the Bat, and it is so well done it will it will be a good holdover until Nolan's last chapter comes out this summer. So These Are The Character Posters For 'The Expendables 2'... ALL 12 OF THEM!!!
'The Expendables' was an excellent foray into the action genre, mainly because it featured a plethora of older action stars coming together to make a kick ass film. Since it was so much fun, highly regarded by both fans & critics alike, and made crazy cash... well,it was only a matter of time before a sequel was shot. Director Simon West did just that, and in just two short summers we have 'Expendables 2'. Not only are the mainstays from the original back (Sly, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews, Bruce Willis, Arnie, etc), they have added some powerhouse action stars of the past (Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damme) & some new bloods (Liam Hemsworth, Yu Nan) as well. It's gonna be epic... a great way to close out the Summer of 2012 movie season when it comes out on August 17th. Catch ALL 12 character posters after the jump....

Shaun of the Dead Movie Poster by William Henry
Shaun of the Dead is one of my all time favorite flicks. Edgar Wright killed it. So did Simon Pegg & Nick Frost. Anytime I see a new take on artwork for the film, I am going to get excited and probably post it here on CCD. Why? Because I can... and because Shaun of the Dead is just rad enough to warrant constant posts... Catch the full size poster from William Henry after the jump...

The 'Despicable Me 2' Teaser Trailer Has Me Fiending For Banana's & Minions!!!!
Despicable Me was one of the most surprising animated movies I had ever seen. I thought it would be cool, but the film ended up being quite awesome on many different levels. Besides the awesome soundtrack courtesy of Pharrell & the killer performance by Steve Carrell, my favorite part of the movies would have to be The Minions. These little yellow baddies make the film. So it is no surprise that they have been rolled out to compile a teaser trailer. If you haven't seen this yet, you are sure to love this musical number. But if you are like me and have seen it, you will want to watch it again and again!!! Despicable Me 2 is out in 2013.Enjoy it after the break.... and put that party noisemaker down asap!!!!!

Marvel has been building towards the release of 'The Avengers' over the past few years since the release of Iron Man. But there is much more stuff in the above films than the after the credit cameos. Youtube user Lucafon18 compiled all of the hidden goodies into one cool clip for your viewing pleasure. 'Day Of The Fight' - Stanley Kubrick's First Movie!!!
I love me some Stanley Kubrick... who can argue that he is one of the best directors of all time? A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket.... the list goes on and on! But before Private Pyle could blow away the drill sergeant or Alex could be cured of his ultra violence, Stanley was filming a 16 minute short film for Look Magazine about a boxing match between Walter Cartier & Bobby James. Watch this one after the jump and become a Kubrick completest like me....

True Romance by James Fenwick
True Romance is a truly underrated movie borne out of the mind of Quentin Tarantino. It has a crazy plot, extreme violence, sex, more violence, Belky from Perfect Strangers, Cantaloupes, Gary Oldman as a Rasta drug dealer, Brad Pitt before he was Brad Pitt.... wow, I can't believe I just typed all of that!!! 'Static Shock: Blackout' - A Fan Film
Fan Films come, fan films go. Especially comic book fan films. There have been some great ones, like the Batman films for Bat In The Sun productions. And there have been some crappy ones... way to many. But with $5,000 bucks and a dream, college kids from Carnegie Melon, The Art Institute, Syracuse, and The University of Central Florida decided to make a fan film dedicated to Static Shock. Static is a important character in the DC universe, created by legend Dwayne McDuffie (Rest In Peace) to help bring more racial equality to characters in the mostly white DC world. This fan film is a love letter to that character, and it is just as much fun as the 52 episodes of the cartoon based on the Static Shock brand. Enjoy the clip after the jump...

A Double Dose Of Double O.... 7 That Is!!!
James Bond is one of my favorite properties. I love the movies, the original books, and everything else that comes along with Britain's favorite super spy. Yesterday I came across two awesome Bond related items that I just had to share with my CCD brethren. First up is a video (courtesy of Akbar5656) of every time someone says 'double o' in the history of James Bond films. Even though this super cut video may only be 1:14 long, it sure does have a lot of different characters uttering the famous catchphrase. 193 to be exact!!! Next we have a 50th anniversary art piece courtesy of Max Dalton that has a very 60s feel to it. It is very Mad Men-esque to me. All Hail James Bond... click after the jump for both.

Meet The Starbarians!!!
Harry Partridge is an awesome animator and writer who has come up with some fantastic ideas in the past (such as Saturday Morning Watchmen...hysterical!). But his newest project may be the best one yet. Meet The Starbarians!!! Killgar & Hogstrong are intergalactic warriors who travel around in their Tyrannosaurus Rex with Tits styled space ship fucking shit up and acting a fool. They are not heroes... they are not villains... they are just Starbarians!!! A throwback to 80s cartoons, sword & sandal epics of the past, and crude humor that would make Danny Mcbride proud... this is what an adult cartoon should be about. Kelly Brook Has A TUMBLR... With BOOBS!!!
Kelly Brook is hot. That is easy enough to declare. The English beauty is slowly becoming more and more recognizable... and my money is on this fame coming due to her spectacular boobs. They are stupendous. These boobs led her to a Reebok endorsement deal, choice parts in quality films like Piranha 3D (lol), and even an appearance on Skins (a great British show...check it!). But her appearances are not nearly coming as often as I would like... especially when it comes to her boobs. How can she recognize & correct this discrepancy? How about starting a TUMBLR... one that features behind the scenes pics and LOTS OF BOOBIES??? Yup, that will work. You can check her TUMBLR out here, but after the jump I put up my favorites from the bunch. Go get 'em!!!

Never Trust Someone Who Only Says One Word
I came across this funny comic strip over at Nerd Bastards that riffs on Game of Thrones. It features the cripple prince Bran and his servant Hodor, who carries him around. While Hodor may be super strong and powerful, he is dumb as a rock and can only say one word... his own name!!! But what if it was all an act? What if many other fictional characters we know and love that only utter one word were part of a bigger conspiracy? Check out the comic strip by after the jump and find out...

The Cast Of SNL Explain Why Game Of Thrones Is SOOO Popular
One of the only funny parts of the recent SNL telecasts have been the skits featuring Andy Samberg. There are some other funny cast members, but the skits where he plays a main role seem to be the only ones worth watching. A few weeks back Andy and the gang to a look into what exactly makes Game of Thrones so popular. It is quite true that the conclusion they come up with may absolutely be the reason behind the high ratings. And seeing Bobby Moynighan as George R.R. Martin is worth watching the whole clip... Exophrine Explains The Ending Of Titanic... Properly!!!
With the re-release of Titanic in 3-D and the 100th anniversary of the actual ship sinking occurring rather recently, this seems like as good as time as any to talk about the controversy surrounding the ending of Cameron's hit movie. Could Rose have allowed Jack some space on that floating door and maybe save the love of her life? Or was it inedible that Jack had to die in order for Rose to live? David from Exophrine.com compiled an excellent info-graphic breaking the whole scene down, and it may shed some light on the whole subject. Catch the full info-graphic after the jump...

La Flama Blanca Poppin' Shit... Adios Kenny Powers!!!
Eastbound and Down has had one of the most memorable runs in recent television. Even though the show had three full seasons, the overall total of 21 episodes at around 24 minutes each don't give us a whole hell of a lot of material. But in that short span I have fell in love with the show... specifically the main character, Kenny Powers. La Flama Blanca never hesitated to light up his co-stars with insults and verbal jabs that are some of the most memorable insults I have ever heard in my life. The language is offensive, he rarely makes sense, and he often prefaces his disparaging comments with "Let me be honest with you...", which always leads to some memorable content. The guys over at Vulture have created a super cut video featuring some of the most memorable abusive lines Powers spit during the course of the show. These aren't all of the BEST lines, but these are definitely most of them. This is a fitting way to remember Kenny.... watch the video after the jump!!!

Game Of Thrones: The Video Game by Dynamaito
I am smack in the middle of A Storm of Swords, the third book in A Song of Ice & Fire saga (Game of Thrones for you non literature knuckleheads) by George R.R. Martin and I am loving every second of it. The second season of the hit HBO show is back on the air and I am consuming as much material containing these characters as I possibly can. Today I came across some really cool concept pieces from a Deviant Artist by the name of Dynamaito, who decides to put a "Street Fighter" spin on the folks from Westeros. He has released twio pieces so far, one a title card featuring the feuding Lannister siblings (Tyrion vs Cersei) and a in fight shot of Robb Stark Vs Khal Drogo. Both are phenomenal and I can't wait to see more. CCOKC: Getting All Up In Kirk Cameron's Ass!!!
The team over at Funny or Die hardly ever disappoint, as their clips tend to be absolutely hilarious. The thing I love the most about the clips is they tend to go out and round up some really cool people to make the videos. Yeah they get the big stars, but its the obscure actors/actresses that they get that always makes for the best clips. Case in point: This PSA from the lovely folks over at CCOKC, or Child Celebrities Opposing Kirk Cameron. These once famous actors from shows like Step by Step, Mr. Belvedere, Out of This World and movies like Don't Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead are taking a stand against Kirk Cameron and his ridiculous takes on things like homosexuality. They stand up for the gays and give Kirk a piece of their mind... and bring the funny in the process. Not to mention that Josie Davis from Charles In Charge could get it... wow, how did she end up hotter than Nicole Eggert??? Anyway, this might be just what was needed to set Cameron straight... nothing like a CCOKC pestering you to change your outlook on gays, right?

'Lair of the Rancor' Faux Movie Poster by Mark Daniels & Mark Steel
Creativity is a must when people are planning on using existing characters in fan art. One must really dig deep to make the characters their own. Not all artists can pull this off. This is especially true for Star Wars characters, due to the overwhelming amount of times we see them used. But Mark Daniels & Mark Steel found an exciting way to re-purpose two obscure characters from Return of the Jedi. 'Lair of the Rancor' gives Jabba's monster the top line spot in a throwback to the creature features of the 1950s. Gotta love the idea and execution of this one. Click after the jump to see more...

My Bad Ya'll... I'm Sorry!!!!
Hey gang. This goes out to all my everyday CCD readers and people who subscribe to the blog, or basically anybody who checks in over here to see what we are up to. The last few weeks have been a bit hectic for me. Hectic, but in a good way. The reason I have been off CCD and not publishing my normal 4-5 posts A DAY is because I have just became the latest paid columnist for Director's Live, a brand new movie news site. This means I am actually getting paid to blog!!! While this is cool, it also came with a whole new interface. I spent all of last week trying to master it, and now I got it down. This lead to me neglecting CCD last week, and I only post one day. I am sorry. This will not happen again. Now that I got the new website ins & outs down, I should be able to balance both out. So enjoy your posts today (below) & check out my new blog posts for Director's Live by clicking here. Please become a follower and share it with your friends. Thank you... and thanks for making CCD the coolest site on the planet!!!

'Alien: The Easter Edition' Is A Must See For All Fans Of The Franchise
With Prometheus on the horizon, I am slowly preparing myself to re-enter the universe of Alien. Ridley Scott & James Cameron created a magical world that lead to a few more shitty sequels and some terrible Alien vs Predator turds. But instead of beating the dead horse to death on these other films, maybe the franchise should have took a turn for the comedic. Director Will Tribble and his gang try to add a little humor to the bleak space sets of Alien in their excellent fan film, and boy did they do a bang up job. If you need a quick laugh, watch this for a few seconds. You will be laughing so hard & out of breath that you will think a facehugger got ya when you weren't looking. Enjoy....

Artin' It Up with Tommy Lombardozzi
Hey folks! So while back... many, many months ago... I had the idea for some special "ARTIN' IT UP"s for good ol' C.C.D.. The idea was I'd draw some cool, obscure-ish '80s toys! If you remember, I did a CRYSTAR piece! Well, then I got lazy, and laxed on that idea. What a chump! Anyway, I'm back with a new '80S TOY DRAWING! This toy wasn't as obscure, but while looking online for ideas, it jumped out at me, so, without further ado, I present to you... MY PET MONSTER!

Erich Owen Puts The Mash In Mash-up For Comic Book Resources
Comic Book Resources is a pretty kick ass website that provides comic book geeks like myself with a plethora of comic related stories to read & revel in. One of their coolest features they have over there has to be the "Comics Should Be Good" message board, where they provide fodder to artists for cool mash-ups they want to see and then the artists post their versions of the finished product. One of the artists who is consistently coming up with great mash-ups has to be Erich Owen. He is taking things like comic books characters & sitcoms, comic characters & a historical figure, and all time fantasy Green Lantern Corps and is producing some killer mash-ups. Check after the jump for six of the contributions from Owen that I absolutely love after the jump...

Visit Florin & Guilder... Inconceivable!!!!
As a big fan of The Princess Bride I am always on the look out for cool shit related to the classic film. I take a lot of pride in the fact that my 9 year old son has phrases like "Inconceivable!!!", "Have fun storming the castle!!!", and "As you wish" firmly ingrained in his lexicon of memorable movie quotes. So when I saw this wonderfully detailed map of Florin & Guilder (The two main locales of TPB) over at my buddy Jaquandor's blog Byzantium Shores, I just had to steal it and re-post. There is no artist to credit, but it is quite spectacular and will make any real fan of The Princess Bride smile more than when Wesley kicked Humperdink's ass. Enjoy!!!

Jim Henson's Long Lost Short "Robot" Finally Available For Public Consumption!!!
Who doesn't love Jim Henson? Seriously... not everybody may be crazy over the Muppets, but does anybody really hate them? Henson's characters have provided smiles to the faces of adults and children for over 40 years and there contribution to entertainment is past the part of quantification. Yet everybody has got to start somewhere, right? Well, here is Henson's first foray into live action short films featuring non human characters. It is called "Robot", and was made for Bell Systems to show at a conference back in the late 60s. It is only 3 minutes long and features basic techniques and actions, yet it is hard to deny some of the Henson magic that was present in bringing inanimate objects to life. Adam Strange F@ck The World!!!!!
I have always been a big fan of the Adam Strange character in DC Comics. He has always been a fringe character on the outside of the DCU that is really only know to people who read HIS books. They are set in space, are often self contained, and don't feature the typical DC big guys we see in all the other books (Bats, Supes, Flash, GL, etc...). Final Crisis saw Adam Strange thrust among the rest of the DC heroes, and his storyline was one of the best of the bunch. SuperPunch has been running a contest where people needed to create a DCU movie poster for characters other than the ones who REALLY have movies. The results have been spectacular, and the results are being released little by little... and today I am going to highlight the Adam Strange entries!!! Damn it Tommy... I TOLD YOU THAT WAS THE CHARACTER TO DO!!!! See the two pieces after the jump....

Horror Art Meets Puppets by Lord Netsua
Lord Netsua has a Deviant Art page that is LOADED with horrific drawings of monsters and mayhem. But the two pieces that stuck out two me had to be his mashups between horror and the puppets of Sesame Street. The first picture is a movie poster for A Nightmare on Sesame Street featuring Elmo, and the second is a drawing featuring monstrous versions of Grover, Cookie Minster, and The Count. His villainous stylings of these childhood faves had me bugging out... so I shared them with you guys here. Check out both pieces after the jump...
